For various reasons up to and including low altitude beer oedema compounded by glacier lassitude, i didn’t begin my back country ski season this year til March 7. However, due to gradually improving snow conditions and jacket-ripping enthusiasm exuding from my ski companions, when we did manage to hit the slopes in the Purcells and Rockies, we hit them with gusto! ⛷️
