In January and February, we wandered around in Chile, visiting old friends and making new ones. We did a couple of photo shoots for backcountry lodge owners and adventure tour operators, and general travel documentation for ourselves. Having spent a lot of time, and travelled extensively in this warm and friendly country since 1981, we tend to gravitate toward the south central region which has a climate and people’s temperament similar to ours in Canada. This first batch of photos is on the west (wetter) slope of the Andes, from Suizandina Lodge at Volcan Lonquimay near Temuco, to southern Chiloe.
