Havana Street Photography

My old friend David Barbour (we studied photography together at the Banff School of Fine Arts in the early 70s), invited me to spend a week with him and his students on a Street Photography workshop in Havana. Dave has shot more than 20 photo assignments in Havana, and has given workshops there maybe 10 times. My busy week spent roaming the streets of Havana left me with striking memories of the dignified Cuban people, and the sorry spectacle of a country being taken over by a hostile capitalism bid from the north.
